About the Role

As a Network Revenue Manager, you'll play a vital role in driving profitability and efficiency within our transportation network. You'll leverage data-driven insights to optimize service delivery, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to the overall success of First Bus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the local Network Planning function, championing data-driven decision making and automation within a divisional framework.
  • Take ownership of service profitability, implementing strategies to improve financial performance at a bus route level.
  • Monitor and enhance punctuality performance through the utilization of advanced technology solutions.
  • Analyze road network performance within your assigned region, collaborating with local authorities to identify improvements that optimize journey times and reduce variability.
  • Identify growth opportunities for the local network through data analysis and support the smooth implementation of national network development initiatives at a regional level.
  • Maximize revenue potential and cost efficiencies by optimizing vehicle fleet deployment and actively participate in divisional decarbonization programs.
  • Work closely with the divisional pricing team to ensure pricing strategies positively impact network profitability and align with overall network improvement plans.
  • Proactively address challenges and contribute to achieving core business objectives, demonstrating a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including commercial, finance, depot leadership teams, revenue, marketing, public relations, and customer service departments.
  • Engage in constructive dialogue with local authorities regarding network activities, providing data-driven evidence to support proposals and drive performance enhancements.
  • Develop comprehensive network or route development proposals, including thorough cost/benefit analyses, for review by the Head of Network and Commercial Director. Lead post-implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of implemented actions.
  • Manage the preparation of tender bids for submission, providing recommendations to the operating company's Senior Leadership team, and monitor ongoing performance.
  • Ensure timely completion of all bus service registrations.
  • Utilize customer insights and feedback to continuously optimize the network and elevate customer satisfaction.
