Lead Physiotherapist for Neonatal Care

Position Overview
We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a seasoned physiotherapist to take on a leadership role within our multidisciplinary pediatric therapy team.
Our facility is equipped with a busy, advanced neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) that caters to a variety of specialties, including surgical, gastroenterological, neurosurgical, and respiratory care, as well as addressing cases of extreme prematurity. The role will also involve participation in outpatient follow-up clinics.
We seek a highly skilled, motivated, and passionate physiotherapist to oversee both inpatient and outpatient neonatal physiotherapy services across our sites, while also contributing to our established pediatric team.
Applicants must possess HCPC registration and demonstrate extensive experience in pediatric and neonatal care, alongside proven leadership and management capabilities. The role will encompass staff supervision and training, as well as operational leadership of the service. Effective organization and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment across multiple locations are essential.
Key Responsibilities
As a clinical expert in neonatal physiotherapy, you will:
- Provide clinical and operational leadership for both Neonatal and Pediatric Physiotherapy services.
- Collaborate with neonatologists and the therapy team to deliver high-quality, efficient care to infants with various conditions, ensuring developmental care is integrated into their treatment pathways.
- Develop and coordinate early intervention services for high-risk infants.
- Supervise and support the inpatient neonatal physiotherapy team and students, addressing both individual and service needs.
- Utilize advanced clinical reasoning and physiotherapy expertise to offer specialized support to the pediatric physiotherapy team and medical staff.
- Manage a caseload of patients with complex conditions as an autonomous practitioner.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- A recognized degree in Physiotherapy.
- Experience at a Master's level, demonstrated through ongoing professional development and evidence-based projects.
- HCPC Registration.
- Significant post-graduate experience in pediatric care, including neurodevelopment, neurology, and respiratory management.
- Specialist knowledge in managing premature infants and a comprehensive understanding of complex neonatal conditions.
Desirable:
- Experience in team leadership.
- Involvement in research initiatives.
