About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neonatal Transport Nurse to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our neonatal transport service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to critically ill newborns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care to neonates requiring transfer across the London area and beyond.
  • Develop and maintain your skills and knowledge in neonatal care through ongoing education and training.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our neonatal transport service.
Requirements
  • Registered Children's Nurse (RSCN) or Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.
  • ENB 405 (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Qualified in specialty HDU & ITU.
  • ENB 998 (or equivalent)/mentorship qualification.
  • NLS qualification.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Diploma/Degree in a related topic, such as BSc Nursing.
  • Attendance at accredited study days/courses.
  • Evidence of pursuing an area of interest relevant to practice.
Essential Experience
  • Proven and current full-time experience in a tertiary level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, at band 6 or above.
  • Evidential of significant experience of delivering care to acute neonatal patients, i.e. 3 years at a tertiary neonatal unit.
