Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement and ESG Manager to join our team at Betfred Group. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in driving our company's procurement and sustainability strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Strategy and Operations
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the company's business objectives and drive cost savings.
    • Oversee the end-to-end procurement operations to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with company policy.
    • Monitor and analyze procurement performance and implement improvements where necessary.
  • ESG Leadership
    • Lead the development and implementation of the company's ESG strategy, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive ESG initiatives and achieve sustainability goals.
    • Monitor and report on ESG performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Supplier Management
    • Manage the tendering process for our retail estate, including preparation, issuance, evaluation, and contract award.
    • Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.
    • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including supplier performance, cost savings, and supply chain risk.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost savings opportunities and process improvements.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of procurement and ESG strategies.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and ESG roles, preferably in the retail or gambling industry.
  • Experience managing indirect procurement categories, such as IT, Marketing, and Professional Services.
  • Strong negotiation skills and proven experience in managing tenders and contract negotiations.
  • Deep understanding of ESG principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
