We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement Manager to join our team at Smartsearch Recruitment. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and executing category and sourcing strategies across various spend categories.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement, with a proven track record of leading projects and driving strategic initiatives. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering results through a motivated and entrepreneurial approach. Exceptional communication skills and a deep understanding of procurement processes are essential for influencing stakeholders and driving meaningful change across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Selection and Management: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet our business needs.
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies to drive cost savings and improve supplier performance.
- Contract Management: Negotiate, manage, and administer contracts with suppliers to ensure compliance with our business requirements.
- Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and develop procurement solutions that meet those needs.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a strategic Senior Category Manager, Procurement Manager or Supply Chain role within construction, manufacturing, engineering or infrastructure.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A deep understanding of procurement processes and procedures.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver results through a motivated and entrepreneurial approach.
