Position Overview: We are seeking dedicated Administrative Support Officers to assist with daily clerical functions related to Health Records, including Libraries, Discharge Management, and Document Scanning.

Work Schedule:
Post 1 – Monday to Friday, 2pm – 8pm, 29.70 hours, Fixed Term
Post 2 – Monday to Friday, 3pm – 7pm, 19.80 hours, Fixed Term

Role Responsibilities:
You will engage in various tasks within the department, including:

  • Preparing and scanning medical records and emergency department cards.
  • Uploading documents to the clinical information system.
  • Handling physical records, which may involve lifting and moving heavy folders and boxes.
  • Ensuring optimal storage by managing large volumes of records.
  • Operating trolleys and cages regularly to facilitate the movement of materials.

Ad hoc tasks may be assigned by Health Records Supervisors to maintain operational efficiency across the Inpatient and Emergency teams.

Qualifications:
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is crucial due to the nature of data entry into a live clinical system. Candidates should possess:

  • Relevant administrative or clerical experience.
  • The ability to prioritize and manage a busy workload.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Good keyboarding and typing abilities.
  • A flexible approach to work.

Educational requirements include Standard Grade (or equivalent) passes in English and Arithmetic. A competent level of English language proficiency is necessary for effective communication.

Additional Information:
Applications on a secondment basis will be considered with prior agreement from your current line manager. The salary for this position will be pro rata based on part-time hours.
