About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Jenrick Engineering, specializing in the maintenance and repair of diesel generators. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our generators, diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Routine maintenance on various diesel generators to ensure optimal performance
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults promptly and troubleshoot on control panels
  • Perform Load Banking and mains failure testing
  • Identify and procure parts to maintain efficiency
  • Generate detailed reports in line with established standards
  • Co-ordinate and schedule repairs and services, ensuring satisfaction and a timely resolution for customers
Requirements
  • Apprentice trained Engineer to minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent within a maintenance qualification
  • Experience of maintaining diesel generators is essential
  • Experience with electronics and mechanical components, including but not limited to engines and alternators
  • Ability to understand and complete risk assessments
  • Worked within a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with communicating to customers both face-to-face and over the telephone
  • Capable to work with a variety of customers within various industries
