Consultant in Haematology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Haematology to join our team at the John Radcliffe Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise in laboratory haematology, as well as contributing to the development of our haematology diagnostic laboratory.

Main Responsibilities

Clinical Service Provision: Laboratory

The post-holder will be responsible for the routine blood film and bone marrow morphology, and supervision of registrars undertaking morphology and responding to clinical queries. They will also be expected to report and authorise blood films and bone marrow aspirates with other laboratory consultants.

Clinical Service Provision: Non-Laboratory

The post-holder will assist the Multi-disciplinary teams in the care of in-patients at the John Radcliffe hospital, providing clinical expertise and guidance as required.
