Department Overview
The Cyber Security Assurance Manager role is part of the Assurance division within the Cyber and Information Resilience (C&IR) department.
C&IR is tasked with overseeing the cybersecurity measures at our organization. This encompasses safeguarding our data and systems from harmful activities, including theft, damage, and disruption, ensuring the organization can fulfill its essential business functions.
Key Responsibilities
As a Cyber Security Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Establishing both technical and managerial strategies to guarantee the confidentiality, integrity, authenticity, availability, and usability of the organization’s information systems, particularly focusing on the M365 suite.
2. Conducting regular information risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential security vulnerabilities across critical applications and processes.
3. Performing security evaluations against established information and data control frameworks to ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards.
4. Supporting audits related to information security and implementing corrective measures as necessary to address identified issues.
5. Ensuring adherence to security best practices within the M365 environment, utilizing tools such as MS Purview to enhance functionality through a risk-based approach.
6. Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of security controls, including oversight of solutions designed to protect against various cyber threats.

Qualifications

1. Proven experience in delivering solutions across SaaS-based information applications, particularly with Microsoft 365 security tools.
2. Demonstrated leadership in managing a Data or Information Assurance team.
3. Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
Essential Skills
Candidates should exhibit:
1. A strong background in developing Information Management Assurance or Compliance Frameworks.
2. Knowledge of information management and security principles, including industry standards like NIST CSF, ISO15489, GDPR, and ISO27001.
3. Experience in implementing policy automation across recognized industry standards.
