Job Title: Technical and Compliance Manager - Residential Conveyancing Solicitor

We are seeking a skilled and driven Technical and Compliance Manager to join our team in the Gloucester office. With hybrid working flexibility, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced conveyancing professional to take a leadership role within a dynamic law firm.

The Technical and Compliance Manager's Role

The successful Technical and Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the technical legal advice program, providing supervision and support to the firm's transactional teams. Working closely with the Group Compliance Director, you will ensure the advice we provide is compliant with trade standards and SRA regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Provide technical guidance and support to conveyancing teams
  • Monitor and review the quality of advice provided to clients
  • Lead and develop a team of solicitors and legal professionals
Requirements
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience handling a complex caseload of residential conveyancing matters
  • Strong expertise in sale, purchase, remortgage, and leasehold matters
  • Experience with unregistered properties and SDLT requirements, including relevant reliefs and exemptions
  • Team management experience, with the ability to coach and develop a team of solicitors and legal professionals
