Technical and Compliance Manager Opportunity

A leading law firm with a national presence in the equity release sector is seeking a skilled and experienced Technical and Compliance Manager (Residential Conveyancing Solicitor) to join their team in the Gloucester office.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the technical legal advice program, providing supervision and support to the firm's transactional teams. Working closely with the Group Compliance Director, you will ensure the advice we provide is compliant with trade standards and SRA regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies to ensure compliance with trade standards and SRA regulations
  • Provide technical legal advice and support to the firm's transactional teams
  • Supervise and mentor a team of solicitors and legal professionals
  • Monitor operations and drive improvements in quality control systems
Requirements
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience handling complex caseloads of residential conveyancing matters
  • Strong expertise in sale, purchase, remortgage, and leasehold matters
  • Experience with unregistered properties and SDLT requirements, including relevant reliefs and exemptions
  • Team management experience, with the ability to coach and mentor staff
