Technical and Compliance Manager (Residential Conveyancing Solicitor)

A leading firm with a national presence in the equity release sector is seeking a skilled and driven Technical and Compliance Manager (Residential Conveyancing Solicitor) to join their team in a dynamic law firm. With hybrid working flexibility, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced conveyancing professional to take a leadership role.

The Technical and Compliance Manager's Role

The successful Technical and Compliance Manager will oversee the technical legal advice program, providing supervision and support to the firm's transactional teams. Working closely with the Group Compliance Director, you will ensure the advice provided is compliant with trade standards and SRA regulations. You will develop policies, monitor operations, and drive improvements in quality control systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the technical legal advice program and provide supervision to transactional teams
  2. Ensure compliance with trade standards and SRA regulations
  3. Develop policies and monitor operations to drive quality control improvements
  4. Lead and develop a team of solicitors and legal professionals

Requirements

  1. Minimum 7 years' experience handling complex residential conveyancing matters
  2. Strong expertise in sale, purchase, remortgage, and leasehold matters
  3. Experience with unregistered properties and SDLT requirements
  4. Team management experience with coaching and mentoring skills
  5. Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills
