Laboratory Technician

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. This position begins as a temporary role with the potential for permanent employment.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate.

Role Overview: The ideal candidate will be engaged in a laboratory environment focused on the preparation of reagents and intermediates, as well as conducting tests in accordance with established operating procedures and production documentation. It is essential that all activities align with performance specifications and adhere to good manufacturing practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and testing of laboratory materials while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Handling of microorganisms for testing purposes.
  • Monitoring inventory levels of manufactured products.
  • Ensuring the quality of produced reagents and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Utilizing computerized systems for effective stock control and availability management.
  • Identifying and reporting any health and safety or quality concerns to support a safe working environment.
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives as required.
  • Engaging in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to laboratory processes.
  • Assuming additional responsibilities and projects as deemed appropriate based on the candidate's skills and capabilities.
