Job Summary:

Adecco is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cleaning and Maintenance Technician to join our team in a laboratory setting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, supporting laboratory staff, and contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilities Maintenance: Clean and maintain laboratory and public areas, including restrooms and the warehouse, to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and buff floors, empty bins, and perform other maintenance tasks as required.
  • Support Laboratory Staff: Assist laboratory technicians with tasks such as loading and unloading glassware from dishwashers and sterilizers.
  • Canteen Maintenance: Clean the canteen area after each meal service and maintain the coffee machine.
  • Warehouse Maintenance: Sweep and clean warehouse floors.

Requirements:

  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Adaptability: Be able to adapt to changing priorities and workloads.
  • Health and Safety: Understand laboratory Health & Safety protocols and procedures.
  • Communication: Possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with laboratory staff and other team members.
  • COSHH Knowledge: Have a good understanding of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations and procedures.
