About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Buyer to join our team at Superdrug. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for developing and managing our key hair care category, creating and implementing effective promotional, marketing, and merchandising strategies to launch new products and grow existing brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement category plans, including range reviews, promotions, pricing, and stock management, aligned with our overall commercial strategy and financial objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and implement marketing promotion plans and strategies relevant to the category, adhering to legislation and brand guidelines.
  • Review and evaluate the effectiveness of promotions, taking appropriate action where necessary, and sharing best practices with peers and other stakeholders.
  • Work with the Own Brand team to develop and deliver Own Brand products and ranges that meet agreed strategy and plans.
  • Seek out new category opportunities based on customer and trend information, collaborating with suppliers and the Own Brand team to bring these to market with strong launch plans.
  • Ensure base sales and promotional forecasts are adhered to, while maintaining in-store availability to meet customer needs.
  • Develop effective internal working relationships with cross-functional team members to support and enhance category objectives and performance.
Requirements
  • Significant experience with Excel.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to identify trends and bring them to market quickly.
