About the Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join a highly reputable state-of-the-art private eye clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join their thriving theatre team permanently.

The clinic is a high-performing and expanding business, and within this role, you will be exposed to a wide range of specialities. The service practices some of the most advanced treatments, offering a range of surgical procedures in specialist fields within Ophthalmology.

This is a great opportunity for a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to expand on their skills in assisting patients undergoing procedures, including cataract surgery, in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume clinical setting
  • Prepare patients for surgery
  • Take them through the journey and reassure patients throughout
  • Caring for patients after surgery, recovering from sedation
  • Review patient charts and confirm data
  • Ensure medical equipment is prepared for surgery
  • Follow surgeons' directions and pass medical equipment
  • Monitor patient's condition during surgery
  • Medicine Management and Audits
Requirements
  • Be NMC / HCPC registered - your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK without sponsorship
  • At least 1 year experience working in theatres in the UK
  • Ophthalmic / optometry / ophthalmology experience highly desirable
  • Interest in development and progression - this role offers the opportunity to complete the surgical assist course
