Job Title: Key Account Manager - Business Development

Job Summary:

Layka Recruitment is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to join our client's friendly and sociable team. As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers, negotiating costs, and identifying gaps in the market to deliver new market trends throughout the seasonal sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers to drive business growth and revenue.
  • Negotiation and Cost Management: Negotiate costs with PD and customers to maintain a minimum target gross profit.
  • Market Analysis and Trend Identification: Identify gaps in the market and deliver new market trends throughout the seasonal sales cycle.
  • Account Planning: Produce detailed account plans identifying areas for growth and improvement for each account.
  • Reporting and Budgeting: Submit annual customer budget to the Head of Key Accounts and provide reasons for growth or decline.
  • Product Presentation: Present new ranges and unique selling points of all new developments to achieve maximum sales.
  • Order Management: Sign off customer products at all stages of order progression.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work well with other team members to develop suitable commercial product solutions for buyers.
  • Analytical and Planning Skills: Keen eye for numbers and maximizing profit, with strong planning and prioritizing skills.
  • Negotiation and Cost Management: Cost negotiation skills and proficiency in Microsoft suite, particularly Excel.
