Job Title: Social Work Team Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Work Team Manager to join our team at SW Locums. As a Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of social workers and providing direct line management and supervision to practitioners working with children and young people under statutory obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead staff to achieve high performance and effective operational delivery, including developing and improving staff capability.
  • Be responsible for and report upon the team's budgetary position, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with key partner agencies to develop and support children and families who are in need.
  • Support children to achieve permanency when children become looked after.

Requirements:

  • Have an outstanding knowledge and understanding of child protection practices.
  • Provide direct line management and supervision to practitioners.
  • Manage and lead staff to achieve high performance.
  • Be responsible for and report upon the team's budgetary position.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with key partner agencies.
