Planner/Works Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Planner to join our team at Mears, where you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent service and support to our customers. As a Planner, you will be responsible for scheduling operative and sub-contract resource to ensure effective resource management, delivery of a customer-focused repairs service, and that performance targets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the scheduling of operative and sub-contract resource to ensure effective resource management and delivery of a customer-focused repairs service.
- Ensure IT systems are operated effectively, and operatives are using and updating their PDAs appropriately.
- Monitor and update repairs on an ongoing basis, including jobs raised, booked within target time, cancelled works orders, repairs without appointments, overdue jobs, and follow-on jobs.
- Communicate with service users, clients, and internal/external stakeholders in a professional manner, adopting a customer-centric approach.
- Work with team members, including administrators, operatives, supervisors, and subcontractors, to ensure an efficient and productive service is delivered to service users and clients.
- Follow and support policies, procedures, initiatives, and work instructions at all times, and maintain company assets in good condition.
Requirements:
- Call Centre Experience
- Previous experience in planning within a Social Housing environment
- Good Verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management, planning, and organisational skills
- Good on computerised systems
- Good Customer Service Skills
