Job DescriptionWe're seeking a highly skilled Lead Game Designer to join our team and contribute to the development of our upcoming AAA Battle Royale game, Off The Grid. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for:
- Leading a team of systems designers in creating, developing, implementing, and managing game systems, including weapons, characters, and combat.
- Providing creative leadership and guidance to the design team, ensuring a player-first approach to game design.
- Collaborating with our Design Director and other stakeholders to drive the development of prototypes for new game features.
- Designing, balancing, and fine-tuning game mechanics to ensure a satisfying and engaging player experience.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, artists, and animators, to implement and iterate on design elements.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 5+ years' experience in game systems design, with at least one shipped AAA title.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts and create detailed project documentation.
- Passion for game systems design and the ability to effectively share knowledge with other team members.
- Proficiency in using Unreal Engine 5 and blueprints.
- Profound expertise in using game design tools and software.
