The Role: Lead Game Systems Designer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Game Systems Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing core gameplay mechanics, systems, and rules that drive engaging and rewarding player experiences within our AAA title.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize, design, and document innovative game systems and mechanics that align with the overall game vision and target audience.
  • Collaborate closely with other designers, programmers, artists, and producers to ensure seamless integration of gameplay systems into the game world.
  • Develop clear and concise specifications for game systems, including rules, parameters, and interactions.
  • Conduct playtesting and analyze player feedback to iterate on and refine game systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in game design.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Game Systems Designer, with a strong portfolio of shipped titles.
  • Deep understanding of game mechanics, systems design principles, and player psychology.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using game design tools and software.
  • Passion for creating innovative and engaging gameplay experiences.
