About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Game Designer to join our team, working on our upcoming AAA Battle Royale 2.0 third-person shooter, Off The Grid. As a Senior Game Designer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing game features, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring a seamless player experience.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement game features, driving end-to-end implementation across the team.
  • Maintain clear design and technical documents using Confluence, JIRA, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Collaborate with developers and designers to share and gather essential information and ensure consistency.
  • Communicate and present designs clearly to the team and management across all disciplines.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in AAA game development in a senior role.
  • Proven experience in game design with an emphasis on multiplayer and/or live "as a service" games.
  • Proficiency in using Unreal Engine 5 or 4 and Blueprints.
  • Ability to adapt or rework designs when needed to meet technical or production constraints.
  • Excellent communication skills, adept at conveying ideas and collaborating effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate with designers, programmers, and artists to ensure across-the-board consistency.
  • Stay up to date on best practices to keep up with the industry, develop your skills, and refresh your knowledge.
  • Ability to create and maintain comprehensive design documentation and specifications.

  • Experience with third-person shooter mechanics.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management tools.
  • Strong scripting and coding skills for rapid prototyping.
  • Knowledge of current gaming trends and player behaviors.
