Claims Agent

We are seeking a skilled Claims Agent to join our team at DPD Group UK. As a Claims Agent, you will be responsible for administering the processing of customer claims for lost and damaged parcels, issuing financial settlements where applicable, and communicating with customers to ensure their expectations are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Validate new claim requests against clearly defined policies and issue claims forms to customers where appropriate.
- Validate returned claim forms against clearly defined policies to establish if DPD is liable for loss and damage in transit, issuing settlement or rejecting where appropriate.
- Manage customer interactions via telephone and email to ensure customer expectations are always met.
- Complete ad hoc tasks related to the above when necessary.
- Proven experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
- Strong communication skills with a confident telephone manner and ability to build a quick rapport with customers.
- Polite and professional demeanor at all times, with a willingness to go the extra mile to exceed customer expectations.
- Ability to work as a team player and on your own initiative.
- Excellent administration skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office/Google programmes.
- Demonstrate high levels of self-motivation and initiative to effectively problem-solve.
