Job Title: Supported Housing Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supported Housing Support Worker to join our team at YMCA East Sussex Transitional Housing. As a key member of our housing team, you will play a vital role in providing support to young people aged 18-35 who are living in our transitional accommodation.

About the Role:

  • Provide day-to-day support to residents, helping them to develop essential life skills and achieve their goals.
  • Work closely with the Deputy Supported Housing Manager and the wider housing team to ensure the smooth and safe running of the service.
  • Contribute to the development of individualized support plans, tailored to meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Support residents to safeguard themselves against abuse and risk, and provide guidance on how to access local services and resources.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting our residents.

About You:

  • You will have a strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by young people in transitional accommodation.
  • You will be able to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of need.
  • You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and external partners.
  • You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the changing needs of the service.
