About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Crisis Support Specialist to join our team at Southdown Housing Association. As a key member of our Staying Well service, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing a mental health crisis to safely manage their wellbeing within the community.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide brief interventions to help individuals deescalate and manage their emotional distress in the short term.
  2. Support clients to identify their needs and connect with appropriate wider networks to aid in their recovery journeys.

Requirements

  1. Experience working with people with mental health needs.
  2. Good understanding of local NHS/Community support services.
  3. High level of resilience and ability to work autonomously.

You will be supported in your role by our experienced management team, who will provide full training and induction. We are committed to supporting your professional development and ensuring you have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in this role.
