Job Summary

Merrifield Consultants is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Philanthropy Research Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Major Gifts and Philanthropy team, you will play a pivotal role in identifying funding priorities and securing significant donations from major donors and corporates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement research strategies to identify potential donors and funding opportunities
  • Write compelling donor proposals and reports to secure significant donations
  • Manage the Research and Information Executive and oversee donor communications and reporting
  • Collaborate with the Major Gifts and Philanthropy team to achieve income growth and organizational priorities
  • Ensure that all donor communications and reports align with the organization's values and commitment to anti-racism
Requirements
  • Proven experience in writing donor proposals and securing funds for significant donations
  • Specialist prospect research skills and knowledge of research resources
  • Clear and accurate written and verbal communication skills to influence senior staff
  • Ability to translate complex information into engaging donor communications and reports
  • Experience of developing strategies in line with organizational priorities
