About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team in the Children and Families Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering clinical services within our neurodevelopmental pathway, working with individuals, groups, and families to provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions for individuals, groups, and families
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver clinical services
  • Develop and maintain a special interest in other areas of the division
  • Travel throughout Birmingham and occasionally out of area to deliver services
  • Work from home within the working week, with opportunities for part-time working
Requirements
  • Postgraduate Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology
  • HCPC Registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment and individual and group-based treatment of children
  • Experience of maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems
  • Experience of liaison work with other professionals and agencies
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Post-doctoral qualification in a specialized area of psychological practice
  • Training in the supervision of doctoral level trainee psychologists
  • Training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training, and/or other fields of applied psychology
  • Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course and presenting with the full range of clinical severity
  • Experience of teaching, training, and supervision
