Senior Business Analyst

A distinguished financial services organization is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to facilitate the implementation of essential products, systems, processes, and related business initiatives. The selected Senior Business Analyst will possess robust skills in RAID, requirements elicitation processes, and tools such as JIRA and Confluence, with a preference for familiarity with Azure DevOps environments.

This role presents an exciting opportunity as the chosen candidate will engage in modernization efforts while the organization transitions to a cloud-first infrastructure within a scaled Agile framework. The organization offers a competitive salary package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing discovery analysis to assess problems or opportunities within the competitive landscape, business process architecture, and existing IT and data solutions.
  • Facilitating informed business decisions by identifying and evaluating potential solution options.
  • Managing stakeholder relationships to encompass diverse perspectives and enhance the change journey through effective communication and proactive planning.
  • Conducting the elicitation, analysis, specification, validation, and verification of business requirements for the chosen solution, ensuring both functional and non-functional aspects are addressed. This may involve creating various artifacts such as Journey models, Use Case diagrams, and Business Process models (utilizing BPMN notation).
  • Ensuring traceability of requirements throughout the change initiative, from desired business outcomes to software development and acceptance testing.
  • Supporting the realization of defined changes through various tasks, including project change evaluation and implementation, RAID identification and mitigation, and resolution of testing-related defects as applicable.

Essential Skills:

  • Prior experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Lead Business Analyst within the Financial Services sector is preferred.
  • Strong expertise in customer journey mapping, process modeling, data modeling, test defect management, stakeholder engagement, and traceability matrices is crucial.
  • Experience with on-premises to cloud transformation initiatives is required.
  • Proven skills in requirements elicitation, RAID identification, and senior stakeholder engagement are essential.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and Azure DevOps is highly desirable.
  • Professional certifications such as IIBA's CBAP or BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis are advantageous.
