Asset Management Associate

Ares Management is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our European Credit Group as an Associate in Product Management and Investor Relations. This role will involve working closely with our London-based Product Management and Investor Relations team to provide investor relations support, including ongoing fund reporting for investors, investor presentation support, and addressing investor information requests and market/competitor research analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Investor Relations Support: Provide investor relations support to our clients, including ongoing fund reporting, investor presentation support, and addressing investor information requests.
- Market and Competitor Research: Conduct market and competitor research analysis to support our investment decisions.
- Product Management: Assist in producing fund reporting for investors on a monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc basis, as well as assisting in building new client materials and various prospect/marketing materials.
- Interface with Internal Teams: Interface and develop strong working relationships with all internal subject matter experts of the Firm, including Portfolio Management, Finance, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Human Resources.
- Client Support: Assist in responding to a broad range of investor requests, including audit confirmations, financial statement and fee data requests, and processing updates to investor details such as wire instructions and authorized signatories.
- Marketing Materials: Create and edit marketing investor materials for co-investment and funds.
- Competitor Analysis: Maintain quantitative and qualitative key metrics on competitors.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Take on ad hoc projects and support all other teammates with their work as needed.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a related field.
- Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance.
- Fixed income or loan/credit experience preferred but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and represent the Firm in a professional manner.
- Exceptional attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy and organization.
- Highly proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Problem solver with ability to research solutions and suggest resolutions.
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to set priorities, multi-task, and monitor own workload to meet aggressive deadlines.
- Takes initiative and has a strong work ethic.
- Creative, ready to think outside the box and add input to improving existing workflows.
- Proficiency in financial accounting and quantitative analysis skills.
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment with multiple tasks.
