The Role: Enhancing Hostel Operations
As a Duty Manager, you will be instrumental in managing operational budgets and achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Your role will involve various customer-facing responsibilities, ensuring that all guests enjoy an exceptional experience at YHA.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting team members across all hostel areas, promoting a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere.
- Utilizing our systems for efficient guest check-ins, check-outs, and other management tasks.
- Performing cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a welcoming environment for our guests.
- Assisting in the kitchen and serving food and beverages with genuine hospitality, enhancing the dining experience through authentic interactions.
- Acting as the Deputy for the Hostel/Deputy Manager, overseeing daily operations in their absence.
Skills and Experience We Value
The Duty Manager position requires flexibility to handle various shifts and responsibilities. While prior experience in customer service is beneficial, it is not mandatory. Experience in hospitality or customer service, particularly in delivering high-quality service, is highly regarded.
Preferred qualifications include Food Safety Level 2 and APLH Level 2, though they are not essential. Key requirements include the ability to manage varying pressures and workloads, along with team leadership experience.
