Job Summary:

Career Teachers is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a highly rated Primary school in LS25. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students aged 3 to 16 years, promoting their learning and development in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure student safety and facilitate access to learning activities.
  • Contribute to education and behaviour plans, working closely with teachers and other support staff.
  • Encourage inclusivity and diversity, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
  • Set high expectations for student achievement, providing feedback on progress and supporting students to reach their full potential.
  • Uphold child protection policies, maintaining a safe and secure environment for all students.
  • Assist with supervision outside of class, providing additional support to students as needed.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Support or Teaching Certifications.
  • Previous experience in teaching support, preferably in a Primary school setting.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, with excellent communication skills.
  • Right to work in the UK.
