Role Overview: The Cost Control Specialist will be responsible for overseeing expenditures and identifying cost-effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency. This position involves utilizing our cost accounting systems to generate comprehensive reports related to expenses, budgets, and supply chain management for executive review.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with essential stakeholders to analyze manufacturing costs, establish standardized product costings, assess product profitability, and pursue cost-saving initiatives to boost margins.
  • Partner with the Commercial Team to provide necessary information, reconciliations, and cost analyses to support business objectives.
  • Manage and refine manufacturing product cost models to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop and enhance cost structures, including bills of materials and product pricing, by working closely with manufacturing and sales teams to gather insights on production costs.
  • Implement weekly production reporting mechanisms to track performance.
  • Establish production variance reporting to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct margin analysis for both manufactured and purchased products.
  • Oversee stock valuation processes and assess potential obsolescence issues.
  • Engage with R&D, Sales, Operations, and Product Management teams to optimize business profitability for both existing and new products.
  • Lead ad-hoc finance projects and business partnering initiatives for cross-functional teams.
  • Take ownership of the inventory management process, including the annual cost roll procedure.
  • Perform reconciliations for stock and products associated with customers and suppliers.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Support the Purchase and Sales Ledger functions as needed.
  • Engage in various ad-hoc finance projects to support the broader financial strategy.

Qualifications: CCAB Qualified Accountant / Cost Accountant / SAP S4 HANA experience is essential.
