Job Purpose
We are seeking a skilled Inventory Control Specialist to play a pivotal role in managing inventory and providing support across various departments including Manufacturing and Testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the health and safety of all personnel within the designated area, leading risk assessments and enforcing safety protocols.
- Maintain safety standards for products and equipment, ensuring compliance with relevant safety measures.
- Process incoming items against purchase orders utilizing the business MRP system.
- Handle the receipt of incoming orders and manage inspection paperwork.
- Accurately book in project, stock parts, and consumables, ensuring traceability and accuracy.
- Prepare kits for projects according to specific Bill of Materials (BoMs), maintaining full traceability.
- Oversee inventory management of stock and consumables, ensuring minimum and maximum stock levels are adhered to.
- Manage cleanroom supplies, including gloves and protective clothing.
- Request quotes and initiate purchase orders for stock and consumable items.
- Supervise ground support equipment, including assembly and testing apparatus.
- Assist in the packing and shipping of finished goods in compliance with transportation regulations for hazardous materials.
- Ensure efficient packing and dispatch of other goods to optimize cost and efficiency.
- Conduct annual stock audits.
- Participate in project procurement meetings, providing necessary data for procurement documentation.
- Liaise with finance departments as needed.
- Provide internal support to all departments as required.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices in accordance with 5S methodology.
Qualifications and Experience
- Preferred possession of a valid driving license.
- Forklift certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proficient in MS Office and Office 365 applications.
- Able to thrive in a multi-project environment, effectively prioritizing tasks and adhering to strict deadlines.
- Knowledgeable in the handling, storage, and shipping of hazardous materials.
