As an experienced Stores Assistant, you will play a key role in the control of inventory and support across Manufacturing, Test, and wider business departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Health & Safety of everyone within your area of responsibility, including leading/managing risk assessments, safety protocol adherence, and ensuring relevant PPE adherence.
  • Ensure the safety of products and hardware, including adherence to relevant safety measures.
  • Receive items against purchase orders using our business MRP system (Fourthshift).
  • Receive incoming orders and release incoming inspection paperwork.
  • Book in project, stock parts, and consumables, allocating bonded material numbers to ensure 100% accuracy and traceability.
  • Kit out parts against project-specific BoM's/Kit lists, maintaining full traceability.
  • Manage inventory of stock and consumables, ensuring Min/Max stock levels are maintained. Control cleanroom items, gloves, mob caps, coats, etc.
  • Obtain quotes and raise purchase requests for stock and consumable items.
  • Control ground support equipment – assembly, vibration, TVac plates, etc.
  • Assist in the packing and dispatch of finished goods in accordance with relevant ADR guidelines for the transport of dangerous goods.
  • Pack and dispatch other goods, ensuring best cost and efficiency.
  • Perform annual stock counts.
  • Attend project procurement meetings and provide relevant data to procurement sheets.
  • Liaise with finance as required.
  • Provide internal support to all departments as required.
  • Ensure good housekeeping (5s).

Requirements:

  • Driving licence preferred.
  • Forklift licence (not essential).
  • Proficient skills with MS Office/Office 365 suite of programmes.
  • Ability to work in a multi-project environment, effectively prioritizing and working to detailed scheduled plans and tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of handling, storage, and shipping of dangerous goods.
