Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable Inventory Control Specialist to play a pivotal role in managing inventory and providing support across Manufacturing, Testing, and various business sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold the Health & Safety standards for all personnel within the designated area, including leading risk assessments, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and overseeing the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Guarantee the safety of products and equipment, ensuring adherence to relevant safety measures.
- Process incoming items against purchase orders utilizing the business MRP system.
- Manage the receipt of incoming orders and facilitate the release of inspection documentation.
- Accurately book project, stock parts, and consumables, ensuring traceability and precision in material allocation.
- Prepare kits for projects based on specific Bills of Materials (BoMs) while maintaining complete traceability.
- Oversee inventory management of stock and consumables, ensuring that minimum and maximum stock levels are consistently met.
- Control cleanroom supplies, including gloves, mob caps, and coats.
- Request quotes and generate purchase orders for stock and consumable items.
- Manage ground support equipment, including assembly and testing apparatus.
- Assist in the packing and shipping of finished products in compliance with applicable guidelines for hazardous materials.
- Ensure efficient packing and dispatch of other goods, focusing on cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct annual inventory counts.
- Participate in project procurement meetings, providing necessary data for procurement documentation.
- Collaborate with finance as needed.
- Provide internal support to all departments as required.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping (5S principles).
Qualifications and Experience
- Preferred possession of a driving license.
- Forklift certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proficient in using MS Office and Office 365 applications.
- Able to thrive in a multi-project environment, effectively prioritizing tasks and adhering to tight schedules.
- Knowledgeable in the handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials.
