We are seeking an experienced stroke nurse to join our team as a Lead Specialty Nurse for Stroke. This is an exciting opportunity to work in partnership with the Clinical Lead Therapist and contribute to the development of our stroke service.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing stroke service strategies in partnership with the Clinical Lead Therapist
- Managing nurse-led clinics and overseeing the safe admission and discharge of stroke patients
- Working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the planning of care and treatment
- Assuming overall line management responsibility for members of the nursing team
- Developing and implementing local strategies to meet nationally and locally set targets

RequirementsThe successful candidate will have:
- Significant experience of working within the specialty

- ENB 998 or equivalent teaching certificate
- Management qualification
