Safer Staffing Lead Nurse (Band 8a) - Corporate

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Nurse to join our team as a Safer Staffing Lead Nurse (Band 8a) - Corporate.

About the Role:

As a Clinical Lead Nurse, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance on improving all aspects of the Safe Staffing agenda. You will create an infrastructure that enables services to ensure that the right staff, with the right skills, are in the right place, at the right time.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead on delivering the Safe Staffing improvement plan by creating sustainable systems and governance processes that promote compliance with national and statutory safe staffing standards.
  2. Ensure all policies related to Safer Staffing are maintained and updated.
  3. Lead on the implementation of the trust rostering improvement project, challenging the status quo with authority to improve practice for the benefit of safe and supportive care.
  4. Take the lead role for directorate engagement in the communication and implementation of safe staffing practice.
  5. Monitor safer staffing levels and skill mix with the services managers to ensure safe and supportive care.
  6. Lead on safer staffing establishment reviews with the Chief Nursing Officer and Deputy Chief Nursing Officer.
  7. Facilitate the development of establishment review meetings within the directorates to enhance the quality of rostering.
