Customs Documentation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Customs Documentation Clerk to join our team at Red Recruit Ltd. As a key member of our freight and shipping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth clearance of imports and exports, while maintaining compliance with customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and submit customs declarations for imports and exports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Manage and maintain accurate documentation, including Bills of Lading, Tariff Headings, and other relevant documents.
- Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to resolve queries and provide accurate advice.
- Process payments from customers in line with company policy, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in customs regulations, laws, and procedures, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prepare a complete list of jobs (shipments requiring customs entries) for the day.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of customs declarations and regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
- Proficiency in Destin8 and Descarte systems, with experience of CNS Systems a distinct advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
