Location: Wilton Teesside, UK

We are seeking applications for the position within the LDPE and Logistics South team.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will hold operational responsibility for the LDPE System 18 area, including the Wilton Ethylene Control (WEC) area, brine reservoirs, and associated logistics lines. This role encompasses emergency response and ensuring the ongoing, safe, and efficient operation of the LDPE asset and the geographically diverse Wilton Logistics South assets to meet varied customer needs.

The Operations Team Leader will supervise a group of process technicians and collaborate with operations, maintenance, technical, logistics, and business support teams to achieve the operational objectives in alignment with SABIC's EHSS standards.

This position emphasizes plant operations, evaluating production risks, and addressing daily challenges related to production and logistics constraints, as well as equipment availability. The role also involves managing plant transitions to minimize disruptions to production. The ideal candidate will work closely with personnel from operations, maintenance, and technical support, demonstrating expertise in technical problem-solving during critical situations.

Team Leadership:

In this leadership role, the Operations Team Leader will be responsible for the professional development of the shift team members, providing guidance, coaching, and motivation to foster their best performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

The LDPE facility is a top-tier COMAH registered site, managed to the highest EHSS standards. Candidates should possess comprehensive knowledge of process plant operations, operational compliance, and Safe Systems of Work (SSoW).

Effective communication skills, sound decision-making abilities, and leadership experience are essential. A minimum qualification of Level II Process Operations or NVQ Level 3, along with 3-5 years of operational experience, is required, ideally with supervisory or leadership experience.

A valid UK driving license is mandatory.
