Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic team within the inpatient services. This role is crucial in enhancing the psychological support provided to individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the transformation of our inpatient services, focusing on the implementation of trauma-informed care principles. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the development of our services and contribute to the well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

The post holder will:

  • Provide specialized psychological assessments and interventions for patients in the male PICU and female enhanced care unit.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
  • Deliver training and supervision to staff, promoting a psychologically informed approach.
  • Engage in research and service evaluation to enhance service delivery.
  • Support the integration of trauma-informed practices across the service.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) accredited by the BPS/HCPC.
  • Experience in providing psychological support to individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable:

  • Post-qualification training relevant to acute mental health care.
  • Experience in facilitating team training and reflective practice.
