The Respiratory Physiology Service provides routine and specialized services to the population of Scotland. The post holder will be required to perform a full range of diagnostic tests in respiratory function and sleep disordered breathing within NHS Scotland's Physiology Services.

The post holder must be able to travel to other NHS Scotland partner sites and to support other departments within NHS Scotland when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a full range of diagnostic tests in respiratory function and sleep disordered breathing.
  • Travel to other NHS Scotland partner sites and support other departments within NHS Scotland.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of relevant national standards, professional guidelines, and local policies and procedures.
  • Voluntarily register with the Royal College of Clinical Physiologists (RCCP) or the Association of Clinical Scientists (AHCS).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent.
  • Applicant must demonstrate suitable competences and clinical experience for the post.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Working knowledge of relevant national standards, professional guidelines, and local policies and procedures.
