Neurology Specialist Trust Grade Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill a Trust Grade (SHO Level) position in Neurology at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) in Queen Square and/or the Chalfont Centre for Epilepsy.
Main Responsibilities- Patient Care: The successful candidate will be responsible for the care of inpatients with various neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, Parkinsonism, and dementia. This will involve evaluating patients, diagnosing their conditions, developing treatment plans, and monitoring their progress during hospitalization.
- Collaboration and Supervision: The candidate will work closely with consultants, fellow doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive care for neurological patients.
- Ongoing Professional Development: The successful candidate will be encouraged to engage in continuous professional development, including attending workshops, conferences, and other learning activities to stay updated on the latest advancements in neurology.
This is a fixed-term position for 5 months, working full-time. The salary is £43,923 per annum, plus London weighting.
Requirements- Completion of CMT training or equivalent
- MRCP or equivalent
- Experience in Neurology/Stroke and a keen interest in pursuing a career in Neurology/Stroke
- GMC registration
- Knowledge of confidentiality, data protection, Good Clinical Practice, and GDPR
- Experience working in the NHS
- Understanding of research methodology
The successful candidate will be working in a dynamic and complex environment, serving a large and diverse population. The role will involve rotations between inpatient ward work and the daycare unit, with shifts covering both standard hours and on-call duties.
