About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Paediatric Neurology. The successful candidate will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive follow-up and support to patients with neurology conditions, particularly those with epilepsy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and provide an advisory and supportive service to patients under the Paediatric Neurology service.
- Provide education and information to children, young people, and their families regarding the management and treatment of complex seizures.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop the tertiary neurology service at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
- Provide patient follow-up, developing a structured pathway and monitoring email and telephone contacts.
- Act as an expert resource to professionals involved in the care of these patients.
- Maintain oversight of the service's activity, governance, and clinical outcomes.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (Child) qualification.
- Evidence of ongoing, continuing professional development within pediatric care linked to demonstrable clinical competences.
- Relevant Degree in nursing/midwifery or health-related field.
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., ENB998).
- Specialist qualification (e.g., British Paediatric Neurology Association Paediatric Epilepsy Training Level 1 & 2).
