Children's Neurology Specialist Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Children's Neurology Specialist Nurse to join our neurology team at the Royal London Children's Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing holistic support, education, and guidance to children and their families affected by epilepsy.
Main Responsibilities- Support and assist a caseload of children and young people with epilepsy, ensuring continuity of care as they grow older and prepare to transfer to adult services.
- Guide service users through the phases of their condition, from diagnosis to discharge or transition to adult services.
- Contribute to the development of the paediatric epilepsy service, working closely with consultant paediatric neurologists and clinical nurse specialists.
- Establish Young Person's clinics and formal transition pathways within the Trust and wider clinical networks.
- Implement Ready, Steady, Go, Hello within our Young Person's clinic and transition pathway, tailored to meet the needs of our population.
- Conduct holistic reviews of each young person with epilepsy during transition and at transfer to adult services, ensuring their needs are met and they receive appropriate treatment and management.
- Lead on clinical audit and quality improvement projects to ensure the care delivered meets and exceeds expectations.

Person Specification- Registered Sick Children's Nurse or Registered RN (child)
- Relevant 1st degree or equivalent
- Mentorship course or equivalent
- Up-to-date registration with the NMC
