Our projects vary significantly in scale, ranging from £5k to £15m, where we often take on the roles of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer, as well as supporting our esteemed Tier 1 contractor clients in subcontracting and off-site manufacturing.

Role Overview

The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee and manage a team of electricians engaged in various projects throughout the South East region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise electrical installations in compliance with BS7671 and Bridges Health & Safety Standards.
  • Ensure all installations meet the highest quality standards, adhering to the project's quality plan and inspection protocols.
  • Actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment process and have the authority to halt work in unsafe situations.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to Electricians, Electrical Improvers/Mates, and Apprentices.
  • Exemplify and promote Bridges' core values in interactions with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Encourage a culture of health and wellbeing among team members.
  • Represent Bridges professionally, supporting business objectives and maintaining a positive company image.

Qualifications

  • ECS gold card (mandatory).
  • SSSTS / SMSTS certification (mandatory).
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor, managing electrical projects.
  • Background in water or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Ability to manage personal and team workloads with minimal oversight from Project Management.
  • Relevant City & Guilds trade qualification.
  • Appropriate health and safety certification.
  • Valid UK driving license.
  • Emergency first aid or First Aider certification.

Desirable Skills

  • PASMA / IPAF certification.
  • Confined space training.
  • COMPEX certification.
  • EUSR water hygiene certification.
  • Thames water passport.
  • Test and Inspect qualification.
