Role Overview

The purpose of this role is to oversee and manage a team of electricians across various projects in the South East region.

Position Details

This is a permanent position, contracted for 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. Compensation is hourly, with overtime available at an enhanced rate for weekend work. Travel time will be compensated in addition to contracted and overtime hours, and a company van with a fuel card will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise electrical installations in compliance with BS7671 and Bridges' Health & Safety standards.
  • Ensure all installations meet the highest quality standards, adhering to the project's quality plan and inspection protocols.
  • Promote and implement the STAR dynamic risk assessment, with the authority to halt work in unsafe conditions.
  • Mentor and coach Electricians, Electrical Improvers/Mates, and Apprentices.
  • Exemplify and advocate for Bridges' values in interactions with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Encourage a culture of health and wellbeing among team members.
  • Act professionally and represent Bridges positively, supporting business objectives and maintaining our reputation.

Qualifications

  • ECS gold card (mandatory).
  • SSSTS / SMSTS certification (mandatory).
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor, managing electrical projects.
  • Experience in water or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Ability to manage workloads independently and deliver safe, profitable projects.
  • Relevant City & Guilds trade qualification.
  • Health and Safety certification.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Emergency first aid or First Aider certification.

Desirable Skills

  • PASMA / IPAF certification.
  • Confined space training.
  • COMPEX certification.
  • EUSR water hygiene certification.
  • Thames water passport.
  • Test and Inspect qualification.
