Research Assistant/Associate in Climate Compatible Growth

We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our team as Research Assistant/Associate in Climate Compatible Growth. The successful candidates will be part of a dynamic research programme involving leading UK universities and KTH Sweden, funded by the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on critical material production and supply chains
  • Model supply chain changes techno-economically
  • Produce high-quality research outputs and academic writing
  • Collaborate with institutions in selected CCG partner countries

Requirements:

  • PhD in Engineering or a related field (or close to completion)
  • Knowledge and experience in environmental assessment, emissions accounting, and programming languages (Python, MATLAB, R)
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Potential to produce and clearly communicate high-quality research outputs
  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines

Appointment: Appointment at Research Associate level is dependent on having a PhD. Those who have submitted but not yet received their PhD will be appointed at Research Assistant level, which will be amended to Research Associate once the PhD has been awarded.

Fixed-term: These posts are full-time and with a start date of as soon as possible.
