Job Summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a skilled Health Visitor to join our team in a Fixed Term position. As a Health Visitor, you will work in partnership with families, local authorities, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, evidence-based person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize a strengths-based approach to engage families and identify risks
  • Coordinate complex plans of care for children
  • Work in remote and rural areas, requiring a current driving license (alternative transport arrangements will be considered for candidates with disabilities)

Requirements

  • Specialist Community Public Health Nursing registration
  • Experience and understanding of the needs of children and families
  • Good knowledge of Scotland's Public Health agenda, including Getting it Right for Every Child, The Promise, and the Children and Young People's Act 2014

Additional Information

NHS Scotland is committed to reducing the full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland. This reduction will be applied pro-rata for part-time staff.
