Job Summary:
NHS Scotland is committed to improving the life chances and opportunities for children. We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced individuals to apply for the role of Early Years Support Worker, working with the Health Visitor teams in Perth and Kinross to support the health and wellbeing of children and families within the locality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver early interventions strategies for pre-school children, working closely with multi-agency partners and voluntary services.
- Support the health and wellbeing of children and families, promoting healthy lifestyles and providing guidance on child development and learning through play activities.
- Work with a diverse community, providing support and guidance to families, and promoting equality and diversity among our workforce.
- Travel across the locality, visiting families and children in their homes and community settings.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, including training in The Solihull Approach and other relevant early years practices.
Requirements:
- Hold a NNEB qualification, Diploma in Childcare and Education or NVQ Child Care Level 3 Qualification.
- Have sound knowledge of child development and learning through play activities.
- Have previous experience of working with children and families.
- Be willing and able to travel across the locality.
- Be committed to achieving the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and complying with the Code of Conduct throughout employment.
