Role Overview

The ideal candidate will take charge of processing and investigating insurance claims related to clients' General Liability and property policies. This role requires collaboration with policyholders, colleagues, and other professionals to validate claims effectively. As a claims management specialist, you will oversee the entire claims process from initiation to resolution, making critical decisions and identifying any potential fraudulent activities. Your responsibilities will include managing both own and third-party property damage claims, necessitating a solid understanding of the industry and relevant legal frameworks. Additionally, you will assist clients with any additional services required following an incident.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage General Liability and Property Liability claims from initiation through to settlement.
  • Possess knowledge of necessary building repairs and associated costs, including plastering, tiling, flooring, and carpentry.
  • Gather and maintain relevant documentation to support claims, ensuring records are updated in the system while liaising with law firms, insurers, clients, and brokers.
  • Communicate with customers, third parties, and legal representatives, providing guidance on any arising issues.
  • Collaborate with adjusters, examiners, and investigators to assess insurance claims.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to ensure claims are legitimate.
  • Work alongside risk analysts, brokers, and underwriters to facilitate settlements.
  • Ensure fair settlements and deliver excellent customer service to clients.
  • Utilize our custom-designed IT system to manage tasks effectively and monitor your workload.
  • Maintain direct communication channels, including phone and email, to handle inquiries efficiently.
Candidate Profile - Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in handling and investigating own and third-party property damage claims.
  • Previous collaboration with loss adjusters to assess damage levels.
  • Strong understanding of water damage, flood, and fire claims, along with the claims lifecycle.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with adjusters, examiners, and investigators.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on active listening.
  • Proficient in multitasking, prioritizing, and managing time efficiently.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with loss adjusters and other professionals.
  • Solid understanding of the legal framework surrounding claims.
